Remove Dead Skin Naturally at Home

Your skin is made up of billions of cells. These cells dry out and die to be replaced by new cells every two to four weeks. Some of it gets shed as dust, which makes up for the fact that most of the dust in your home is actually your dead skin. While others remain on your skin, it causes you many problems and long-term complications like acne, blackheads, rough and scaly skin, etc.

Dead skin cells are found all over the body, whether they are on the face, lips, hands, or legs. So it is essential to remove dead skin cells yourself with various tips and treatments to keep your skin healthy and beautiful at all times. The best way to do this is to exfoliate your skin with a scrub or scrub. It will remove dead skin cells, impurities and oil from deep within the pores. But one thing to remember while using the scrub is to be gentle and don't try to scrub under pressure. Vigorous rubbing will not make your skin smoother and cleaner; Instead, it will open up your skin pores and scratch your entire body, causing irritation.

Here are some of the remedies that you can try at home to remove dead skin cells from your body:

Chickpea flour is a favorite cooking ingredient for all Pakistanis and Indians, and it provides amazing benefits for the skin. Rich in vitamins and proteins, it is nourishing not only for consumption but also for application to the skin. It consists of finely ground granules that act as natural cleansing molecules for the skin.

To make a chickpea flour scrub at home, take 2 tablespoons of chickpea flour, half a tablespoon of rice flour (optional) and 3-4 tablespoons of rose water (you can add rose water depending on the desired consistency you want to achieve). Depending on the size of the area you want to exfoliate, you can always adjust the amount of exfoliation you do. Once the paste is formed, apply it to your skin and rub it in gently with gentle movements. Do this for 3 to 5 minutes and then wash it off.

Coffee Scrap:

Coffee contains antioxidants that help fight the signs of aging. Caffeine, the most important ingredient in coffee, helps improve blood circulation in the skin. This results in a natural shine and softness. The flavanols present in coffee help to lighten the skin tone, providing good exfoliation and smoothing the skin texture.

To prepare a coffee scrub, all you need to do is take 2 tablespoons of ground coffee and 1 tablespoon of coconut oil. Mix them well to form a thick paste. Apply it all over your body while showering, using gentle circular motions, for at least 5 minutes. After that, wash yourself.

Please note that this scrub is completely unsuitable for oily skin as it contains coconut oil. However, you can use aloe vera or plain water instead of coconut oil if you have oily skin.

Lemon and Sugar Scrub:

Lemon, with its antioxidant and skin-lightening properties, is a great solution for dull skin. Sugar, on the other hand, is an excellent source of hydration for your skin. Lemon and sugar together can be beneficial for rough skin and removing dead skin cells.

Cut a lemon in half and put a lot of granulated sugar on it (make sure the granulated sugar is not too big as it can damage your skin). Gently rub the lemon with the sugar on top, on the desired areas of your body for 2 to 3 minutes and then rinse it off. It will leave behind smooth, shiny and lustrous skin.

You can even use lemon juice and fondant in place of half a lemon if you like.
