How to Prevent Acne & Pimples
My friend managed to recover from a severe form of acne. By severe, I mean a combination of pus-filled cysts. red, swollen pimples and blackheads, covering her entire face.
She is now 25 and she started having her ‘acne problem’ at about 14 (we didn't know each other yet)
I first met her when she was 20 and, to be honest, Her skin was the first thing I noticed about her. It looked painful.
Anyway, in short, we became friends, very good friends, actually.
But I could easily notice the discomfort she was constantly experiencing. I sometimes noticed other people staring at her face.
We went to a party once where there were four guys we didn’t know (they were really drunk) and one of them said something about ‘pizza face’ and they all started laughing.
She heard them, maybe their entire conversation because 3 minutes later she was gone without saying a word.
Must Read:
3 or 4 months later was the next time I saw her. This time, her face looked much better. I immediately complimented her and her smiley face told me that this is not the first time someone mentions her improvement.
There was still active acne and, of course, multiple scars left on her cheeks and forehead, but the red, inflamed cysts were gone.
After about a month or so, I saw her again. I could only see a couple of barely visible pimples on her cheeks and jawline and I was a bit shocked, as the transformation was huge.
And she finally decided to tell me what’s changed in her life:
She found a webpage where she found an easy homemade recipe, which was supposed to eliminate pimples.
The recipe consisted of only two ingredients: honey and grated onions. They should be mixed together and applied to the affected areas. The mask should stay for 1–2 hours, then it should be washed with cool water. And the procedure should be performed 2 or 3 times a week, according to the acne severity.
And, probably out of desperation, she decided to give it a try. After the 3rd or 4th application, she noticed that her skin appeared less inflamed, the redness was not so visible etc.
So, she kept applying the honey and onion mask and, obviously, it worked miracles for her skin.
As expected, she is not OK with me sharing pictures of her face but she did give me a carte blanche to share her story.
If you have the same problem, maybe it wouldn't hurt to give this recipe a try - just make sure you use fresh products every time (this is not a multi use recipe).
I’m writing her story 1,5 year after her first onion-and-honey experience and now her face looks so much better than before - sometimes there are barely noticeable pimples on the skin surface but these are absolutely negligible, compared to the previous condition of her skin.
